Popular entertainer Capleton, who is facing a rape charge, had his bail extended when he appeared in the Corporate Area Criminal Court earlier today.
Capleton, whose real name is Clifton Bailey, is out on $250,000 bail.
He was ordered to return to court on Tuesday, September, 4 after Clerk of Court Hanson Lawson told Parish Judge Vaughn Smith that the Crown’s file is incomplete.
Capleton, 51, was charged on Monday May 11 on allegations that he had sexual intercourse with a hairdresser, who he hired to groom his hair, against her will at a hotel in New Kingston on April 28.
The veteran entertainer has strongly denied the allegations. He is represented by defense attorney Christopher Townsend.
