Sixteen Additional Firearms Seized By Security Forces During Secondary Operation

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) in partnership with the Contraband Enforcement Team (CET) of Jamaica Customs, seized sixteen firearms today, following the seizure of ten firearms and approximately 640 rounds of ammunition at Kingston Wharf, on Tuesday, October 3.

Reports are that the Counter Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigations Branch (CTOC), the JCF’s Narcotics Division and CET, conducted secondary operations at the container terminal where they discovered an additional sixteen 9mm Pistols, 16 magazines and one 9mm round of ammunition today.

The operations, which began as early as yesterday morning have so far led to the seizure total of 26 firearms, 641 rounds of ammunition, multiple magazines and a silencer in 24 hours.

The operations and investigations continue.
