Rains between Sunday evening and this afternoon (Monday, May 7) have affected roads and communities in several parishes.
The NWA has been clearing several roads although some are still impassable or have been reduced to single lane access. Motorists are urged to be cautious crossing fords and flooded roadways.
At the same time, the Met Office says a flash flood warning remains in effect through to 5 a.m. Tuesday, as a trough remains west of Jamaica.
The following parishes have been affected with roads /communities listed as having been impacted:
St Andrew: Red Light District, Bull Bay, Mavis Bank Road, and Gordon Town Road
St Thomas: Hordley Crossing, TrinityVille and Arcadia. Port Morant Square that was flooded Monday morning is now passable
St Ann: Cave Valley Road and Bog Hole.
Westmoreland: Little London, Grange Hill, McNeil Lands
St Elizabeth: Lacovia to Mountainside road and Aberdeen to Siloah road.
Roads and communities in Hanover, Trelawny and St James were also affected but most of those have been cleared.
