The final of the Charley’s JB Rum South Central Super League will be played on Sunday (today) at St Elizabeth Technical High School, with Dunbeholden of St Catherine tackling St Bess of St Elizabeth at 4:00 pm.
Both teams reached the final after coming out the better of high-scoring semi-finals. Then, St Bess defeated Vere 6-3 in the second-leg, the same stage that Dunbeholden stopped Black Stars 5-0. Both first-leg semi-finals ended in 1-1 draw.
St Bess will be looking to Nacquain Brown, Kevon Woodley, Nickjay White and Christopher Dixon to lead them to victory like they did in their semi-final clash with Vere.
Leading the charge for Dunbeholden will be Richardo Harriot, Lorenzo Dubidad, Richard Orett, Jerome Wedderborne and Craig Gayle.
The finalists emerged from Zone Two of the preliminary round, which was won by St Bess with 31 points, six more than Dunbeholden.
