St. Jago high school star athlete Crystal Morrison has been found and has been reported safe. The 17-year old hurdler was reported missing yesterday, sending her immediate family and her school community in shock.
Details surrounding the teen’s alleged disappearance are still unclear, however, it has been reported that contact has been made with the athlete who is said to be staying with a friend. A video was also sent to her family as proof that she is safe.
Crystal’s sister, Shauna-Kay Morrison spoke with Nationwide News.
Crystal, a grade 11 student at the St Jago High School, recently received her Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) results.
The 17-year-old is the Carifta record holder in the Under-17 100 metres hurdles. Morrison won silver in the Class 2 event at the ISSA Boys and Girls Championships for St. Jago High.
