#MyJamaicaToday can now confirm that Police Superintendent Leon Clunis has lost the fight as he died in hospital today, June 30.
He was one of four policemen who were surprised and shot at during a police operation in Horizon Park, Spanish Town, St Catherine on June 12.
The incident left two officers dead on the spot, and two others including Clunis were hospitalised. He was visited by Prime Minister Andrew Holness and his team on Saturday, June 28.
Clunis died this afternoon, minutes after four, and was reportedly in good spirit leading up the time of his death.
This has once more plunged the Jamaica Constabulary Force into mourning.
