Investigators charged three men arrested last week in connection to the murder of 28-year-old Chinese businessman Teng Fei Cheng in Brown’s Town, St Ann.
Twenty-three-year-old merchandiser Orandy Mott of Philadelphia in Brown’s Town, Vivian Campbell, 40, a higgler of Benin District and 47-year-old higgler Leabert Piper of Philadelphia in Brown’s Town, St Ann were were charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder on Wednesday, March 7.
The men are to face the St Ann Parish Court at a later date.
On February 27, the businessman was sitting in his car at his business place when gunmen walked up to the vehicle and shot him in the head. He was pronounced dead at hospital.
Police sources had indicated that robbery was a motive for the killing.
