Tour-Bus Operator Sentenced To 25 Years For Girlfriend’s Murder

A tour-bus operator was sentenced to life imprisonment for killing his 22-year-old common-law wife during a dispute in Ocho Rios in 2011.

The convict, Kevin Peterkin of Ocho Rios, St. Ann, was ordered to serve 25 years in prison before being eligible for parole.

The sentence was handed down by presiding judge Justice Lorna Shelly-Williams in the St Ann Circuit Court on Friday, May 25.

Peterkin was convicted after a seven-member jury found him guilty of killing 22-year-old massage therapist, Sasha Edwards of Milford Road in Ocho Rios on Monday, May 21.

It was alleged that Edwards was intensely jealous of an alleged relationship existed between Peterkin and her cousin.
