Two Jamaicans died in a motor vehicle crash in East End, Grand Cayman over the weekend.
They have been identified as 26-year-old Lopez Higgins and 27-year-old Charlisa Chambers.
A report from Cayman News Service disclosed that the Jamaicans were living in the Cayman Islands.
The crash occurred at about 3 o’clock on Saturday morning.
The Cayman police say the deceased was travelling eastbound along Seaview Road in East End when their Daihatsu Boon car crossed into the opposite lane and struck a Department of Environmental Health sanitation truck head-on.
Upon arrival of the police, the victims were “found unresponsive” in the vehicle.
They were later pronounced dead.
The reports also stated that the driver of the truck was not injured.
