The Meteorological Service has updated the Severe Weather Alert for all parishes valid for Sunday and Monday, September 16 & 7, 2018.
Tropical Storm Isaac has dissipated to a Remnant Low and is currently located over the central Caribbean Sea. The Remnants of Isaac are forecast to move south of Jamaica on Sunday, producing significant rainfall activity across the island on Sunday through to early next week.
Periods of showers and thunderstorms, which may be heavy and very heavy at times, are forecast to affect most parishes. Therefore, flash-flooding is likely over low-lying and flood-prone areas.
Fishers and other marine interests are advised to exercise extreme caution as sea conditions will deteriorate in the vicinity of showers, thunderstorms and strong gusty winds.
The Meteorological Service will continue to monitor the situation.
