The worldwide financial services company Western Union, operated locally by GraceKennedy, had its Pines Plaza location in Portmore, St. Catherine closed for the day.
The outlet was reportedly broken-into last night, February 12. It is understood that thieves bore a hole in the wall of the complex to gain access to Western Union.
This has been a problem for GraceKennedy, as the company continues to increase security measures to protect its assets.
It is not yet known if anything was stolen. However, the police and GraceKennedy Financial Services are investigating the matter.
The Pines Portmore location will be reopened tomorrow, February 14.
